Afghanistan and Kazakhstan have inaugurated a trade exhibition in Kabul.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Taliban announced that the exhibition, featuring 50 booths, has been organized for a period of three days, with the aim of expanding trade and economic relations between the two countries.

During the opening ceremony, Nooruddin Azizi, the Taliban’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, stated that trade volume between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan increased by nearly 100 percent between 2022 and 2025. He expressed hope that bilateral trade would reach three billion dollars in the future.

On the other hand, Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, described Afghanistan as an important regional connectivity hub and said that his country is interested in investing in various economic and commercial sectors in Afghanistan.

It is expected that through this exhibition and the accompanying business meetings, new avenues will be explored to further expand trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
