The Afghanistan freedom front (AFF) announced on Thursday that three Taliban members were killed and at least two others were wounded in an attack by its forces on a Taliban checkpoint in Kabul’s 16th Security District.
In a statement, the front said that its forces targeted a Taliban checkpoint in the Ali Khel area of Kabul’s 16th Security District at around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, 4 Sunbula.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front claimed that three Taliban members were killed and at least two others wounded as a result of the attack. However, the claim has not been independently verified.
The front also released a video purportedly showing the moment of the attack. The footage shows an explosion followed by a column of smoke rising from the targeted area, but provides no further details about how the attack was carried out.
Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the reported attack, the number of casualties, or the claims made by the Afghanistan Freedom Front.
