Axios, citing informed sources, reported that the U.S. military carried out several strikes earlier on Sunday against Iranian rocket systems and air defense installations around the Strait of Hormuz. According to the report, U.S. forces also targeted several Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fast attack boats at multiple locations near the strategic waterway.

At the same time, IRNA, quoting Hossein Amir Teymouri, the governor of Qeshm, reported that between 10 and 11 projectiles struck military targets on Qeshm Island from Sunday evening (21 Saratan). He stated that all of the targets hit were military facilities and that the attacks caused no casualties.

In a separate development, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced that three land border facilities in the northern part of the country had come under attack. The ministry also reported that a Kuwait Oil Company offshore drilling platform in the country’s territorial waters was struck by a drone.

A spokesperson for Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said the attacks caused material damage and that one worker was injured in the drone strike on the drilling platform. The spokesperson added that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces remain on the highest level of readiness and are continuing to take all necessary measures to safeguard the country’s security and territorial integrity.
