Sources in Jaghoori district of Ghazni province say that a 26-year-old man has been mysteriously killed, and his charred body was found in the mountains.
A source told the media today (Monday, 2 Sonbola) that the young man, Abdul Khaliq Hazara, was a resident of Kata-Bid village in the Chehel-Bagh Togh-e Hogh area of Jaghoori.
According to the source, Abdul Khaliq went missing from his home five days ago, and his burned body was found in the mountains yesterday (Sunday, 1 Sonbola).
The source added that Khaliq had been working in construction in Kandahar and had recently returned home.
The source said: “Khaliq had come back from Kandahar. In Sang-e-Masha, he borrowed his friend’s motorcycle and went home to Kata-Bid, in the Chehel-Bagh Togh-e Hogh area. But the following day, he went missing.”
The motive for the killing and the identity of those responsible remain unknown. Local Taliban authorities in Ghazni have not commented on the incident.
Despite the Taliban’s claims regarding security, criminal activity, including mysterious killings, continues across the country.
