The Taliban’s security command in Uruzgan says a fire at a gas company in the provincial capital left three people injured and caused 800,000 Afghanis in financial losses.
Bilal Uruzgani, spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Uruzgan, said the fire broke out this afternoon (Monday, September 1) in the city of Tarinkot, consuming 2,500 kilograms of gas.
He added that the three people injured in the fire were members of a Taliban security brigade who were attempting to extinguish the blaze.
The spokesperson said Taliban forces brought the fire under control.
He did not specify the cause of the fire.
