Fox News, citing a U.S. source, has reported that Iran targeted American forces stationed in Jordan in missile attacks.
Trey Yingst, a Fox News correspondent, said on Sunday in a post on the social media platform X that, according to a U.S. source, Iran had attacked facilities housing American forces in Jordan. However, no significant damage has been reported so far, and nearly all of the missiles launched were intercepted and destroyed.
According to the report, full details regarding the exact location of the attack, the types of weapons used, and any potential casualties have not yet been released.
According to Reuters, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also said that it had carried out ballistic missile attacks against two U.S. bases in Jordan the King Hussein and Al-Azraq military bases.
The attacks came after U.S. forces targeted two missile launchers belonging to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Lark Island.
So far, U.S. officials have not released official details regarding any casualties or material damage resulting from the latest attack on American forces in Jordan.
