Daoud Naji, head of the political committee of the Afghanistan freedom front, has claimed that forces affiliated with the group carried out at least 21 guerrilla and frontline operations against the Taliban in eight provinces during the past month of Asad.
He said that 65 Taliban members were killed and around 90 others were wounded in the attacks.
According to Naji, the attacks were carried out in the provinces of Badakhshan, Baghlan, Kunduz, Panjshir, Nuristan, Kabul, Faryab, and Nangarhar.
The Taliban have so far made no official statement regarding the Freedom Front’s claims or possible casualties among their forces.
Meanwhile, in recent months, there have also been reports of activities and attacks by other armed opposition groups against the Taliban.
