The Afghanistan Freedom Front claims that its fighters carried out several rocket attacks on a Taliban battalion in the Baharak district of Badakhshan province on Saturday morning.
According to the group, the attack targeted pre-designated military objectives, and the clash lasted for about 20 minutes.
Sources from the Freedom Front say that the exact number of possible Taliban casualties is not yet known, but they claim that their own forces suffered no losses during the operation.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the claim and have issued no official response regarding the incident.
