Habib Hikmatyar, the son of Gulbuddin Hikmatyar, the leader of Hizb-e-Islami, has warned that insulting and humiliating the opposing side in the political arena and the inability to tolerate defeat are the main reasons for the continuation of conflicts.
He stated that if one side humiliates its rivals and fails to show respect for them, the opposing side will be forced to continue the path of war.
He pointed out that in other countries, various political and religious groups cooperate, and the rights of all are protected, but in Afghanistan, instead of solving problems, violence quickly escalates.
Habib Hikmatyar emphasized that as long as Afghans do not accept one another and strong political tolerance is not developed, the hope for lasting peace and stability is impossible, because the isolated side will resort to any means to survive.
