Summary

Haji Hazrat Ali, leader of the Mashriqi Jihadi Council, has claimed that Pakistan continues to provide operational training and financial support to داعش (ISIS) and other militant groups. He stated that training centers for these groups remain active in the regions of Orakzai, Bajaur, Tirah, and Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as in Balochistan and Mastung.

In a statement he released, he said these centers operate under the supervision of Pakistani military officers and are aimed at creating instability and unrest in Afghanistan. According to him, Pakistan is once again attempting to gather and arm certain opposition figures and ISIS members in order to push Afghanistan toward political crisis and insecurity.

Hazrat Ali emphasized that Afghanistan is not a victim of proxy wars, but rather the shared home of an independent nation. He added that Afghans have learned from the bitter experiences of past decades, and therefore such efforts will not succeed.

He called on the people living on both sides of the Durand Line to remain vigilant against these efforts and not allow others to misuse their emotions and identity. He stated that creating terrorist groups and keeping internal conflicts alive benefits no country.

The leader of the Mashriqi Jihadi Council also urged Islamabad to stop supporting terrorism and extremism and instead adopt a path of good neighborly relations, mutual respect, and regional stability. He said that if Pakistan genuinely fights terrorism, the region and the world would enjoy greater security; otherwise, the world would once again see that supporting terrorism poses a serious threat to regional and global security.

Hazrat Ali also described the Durand Line as a “national and historical issue,” saying it is part of the sovereignty and history of the entire nation.

He further called on Afghanistan’s current rulers not to push people toward migration and uncertainty, but instead to take practical steps toward national understanding, broad political participation, and national unity so that all Afghans feel included in the country’s future.

Meanwhile, the Taliban authorities in Kabul had previously also claimed that Pakistan has provided shelters and training centers on its soil for members of ISIS-Khorasan. Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, had said they possess evidence showing that the Pakistani military sends trained ISIS fighters into Afghanistan.
