Afghan singer Javid Amirkhail has traveled to Belgium from Germany and, according to reports, has filed an asylum application there.
His friends say that Amirkhail was compelled to seek asylum in Belgium due to Germany’s strict immigration laws and delays in the Dublin process.
According to available information, he is currently in Belgium and has recently released a new song about Afghanistan’s tricolor national flag—black, red, and green.
It is also reported that Amirkhail had previously planned to travel to the Netherlands at the invitation of a company. The company had obtained an undertaking from him that he would not apply for asylum in the Netherlands.
Javid Amirkhail has not yet officially commented on his reported asylum application in Belgium.
