The leader of the Baloch Unity Committee, Maherang Baloch, has welcomed the recent report from the UN Committee Against Torture, stating that the ongoing human rights violations in Pakistan must be stopped immediately. She pointed out that the findings of the report support the claims made by Baloch human rights activists over the years and further raise concerns about the use of force and torture by government officials against the people.
Maherang Baloch emphasized that the international community should not only rely on reports but take effective steps to protect human rights through practical pressure.
On the other hand, the UN Committee Against Torture, in its latest report, has expressed concerns about human rights violations and ill-treatment of prisoners, particularly in countries like Pakistan. This issue comes at a time when groups like the Baloch Unity Committee have long been calling for the resolution of similar issues to protect Baloch rights.
