The national resistance front, an anti-Taliban group led by Ahmad Massoud, says the Taliban have launched a broad psychological and identity-based campaign aimed at discrediting the resistance and undermining public confidence in it.
In a statement, the NRF alleged that the Taliban are using women’s names, cyber networks, digital accounts, and certain extremist circles in an effort to tarnish the image of the resistance.
The NRF described the campaign as a “multilayered intelligence project” and alleged that it is being financed through extensive financial resources and foreign assistance.
The group did not provide specific documents or evidence to substantiate its claims. It called on Afghans to remain vigilant against what it described as the Taliban’s “psychological warfare.”
The Taliban have not yet responded to the NRF’s allegations.
