Summary

The Taliban have announced that construction of a health center in Panjshir province, built at a cost of $35,000, has been completed and the facility has been officially inaugurated.

Bakhtar News Agency, which is under Taliban control, reported on Monday, 2 Sonbola, that the health center was built in the village of Jarwish in Hesa Awal district of the province. The one-story facility has six rooms.

According to the report, the completion of the center has provided local residents with an appropriate facility for accessing healthcare services.

The facility comes amid significant challenges and shortages facing Afghanistan’s healthcare system.

Over the past five years since the Taliban’s return to power, difficulties in the health sector have increased, while restrictions and cuts in financial assistance have negatively affected the delivery of healthcare services across the country.
