Sources in Parwan province say that the Taliban have detained six civilians, including two former security personnel, in Salang district.
The sources said two of those detained, identified as Rais Agha Salangi and Nasrullah, had served as members of the police forces under the previous government. According to the sources, the other four detainees Sharif, Mohammad Agha, Mirois, and Sohrab are students.
The sources said the six individuals were detained six days ago in the Lalma-Sabzak village of Salang district and are currently being held at the Taliban’s Counter-Terrorism Directorate in Charikar.
According to the sources, the families of the detainees have no information about their whereabouts or condition.
The sources said the Taliban have accused the individuals of attacking a checkpoint belonging to the group. However, according to the sources, the detainees are civilians and have no ties to anti-Taliban groups.
