The Afghanistan National Examination Authority, under the Taliban administration, has announced the results of the 1405 (2026) university entrance examination (Kankor), stating that Rashid, son of Pahlawan and a graduate of Mohammad Mullah Shaheed High School in Parwan province, achieved first place nationwide with a score of 360.
The head of the authority, Abdul Baqi Haqqani, said on Monday that achieving such a high score in the Kankor examination has been unprecedented over the past four years.
According to the announced results, Enamullah from Kunar province secured second place with 358 points, Abdul Hadi from Paktia province ranked third with 356 points, Mohammad Ayman from Maidan Wardak province came fourth with 356 points, and Bismillah Jan, also from the same province, took fifth place with 356 points.
This comes at a time when, due to the Taliban’s ban on higher education for girls, this is the fourth consecutive year that Afghan female students have been excluded from the university entrance examination, and the Kankor results have been announced without their participation.
