The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing of the Taliban says that the revised master plan for the industrial city named “Sabz Sanaye” (Green Industries), located in the new Kabul city area, has been approved following technical assessments and legal procedures.

According to a statement issued by the ministry on Sunday, the plan was signed by Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, the minister of the department. The plan aims to regulate land use, expand urban infrastructure, and improve transportation networks.

Based on available information, under this revised plan, approximately 16 million and 302 thousand square meters of land has been allocated for the “Sabz Sanaye” industrial city, which will be used for the expansion of industrial activities, manufacturing factories, and economic projects.

The ministry adds that, in addition to infrastructure and service facilities, designated areas have also been allocated within the site for public welfare centers, green spaces, electricity and water supply networks, and transportation systems.

According to the technical committee’s assessments, existing issues related to land use, road routes, and industrial zones were identified in the revised plan, and necessary amendments have been made to address them.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing considers such plans important for ensuring urban order, legal land management, attracting investment, and promoting economic growth.
