Officials from the World Health Organization (WHO) have positively assessed the performance of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health and welcomed the ministry’s efforts and progress in the delivery of healthcare services.
The issue was discussed during a meeting on Sunday in Kabul between Noor Jalal Jalali, the Minister of Public Health, his deputies, and a high-level delegation from the World Health Organization. During the meeting, WHO officials expressed appreciation for the achievements and advancements made by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health.
Minister Jalali also presented a report on the ministry’s activities and programs, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and support from international partners in the health sector.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, Noor Jalal Jalali called on international organizations to provide assistance and support for the construction of general healthcare facilities, specialized cancer treatment centers, and cardiac care centers in Afghanistan.
