The General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations of the Taliban has announced that a three-member delegation, led by Rahmatullah Makki, Executive Director of Afghan Post, has traveled to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to participate in the 14th Congress of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union.
The directorate said on Saturday, September 7, that the 14th Asian Postal Congress is being held in Bangkok with the participation of representatives from the postal administrations of 32 member countries of the Asian Postal Union, as well as representatives of several international organizations.
According to the directorate, the meeting will discuss issues including the development and standardization of postal services, the expansion of international cooperation, coordination on postal and customs matters, and improving the quality of postal services.
The Taliban’s General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations added that during the meeting, the Afghan Post delegation will hold discussions with representatives from various countries on expanding postal cooperation and exploring areas of mutual interest in the sector.
