Amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, reports indicate that the U.S. military has launched a new wave of airstrikes against multiple military and strategic infrastructure targets across Iran. According to published information, the strikes targeted a number of strategic facilities and military positions in different parts of the country.
Bandar Abbas and its surrounding areas were reportedly among the primary targets. Initial reports indicate that military positions, coastal installations, and infrastructure associated with military activities in the strategically important port city were struck. No official details have yet been released regarding the extent of the damage.
Reports also indicate that two bridges in the Bandar Khamir area of Hormozgan Province were targeted during the airstrikes. Local sources claim that a civilian driver who was crossing one of the bridges at the time of the attack was killed. These reports have not yet been officially confirmed.
In addition, several sources have reported that a railway substation in Bandar Abbas was also targeted. According to preliminary information, at least two Iranian civilians were injured in the strike. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or the final casualty and damage assessments.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged of strikes on Qeshm Island, several military positions around Tehran, military facilities in Semnan Province, Iranshahr Airport in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and positions on Greater Tunb Island. However, a significant portion of these reports remains subject to official verification.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that approximately 90 military targets were struck during this phase of the operation, including air defense systems, missile and drone storage facilities, logistics centers, and naval infrastructure along Iran’s southern coastline. The command did not provide further details regarding the outcome of the operation.
Iranian authorities, meanwhile, have not yet released comprehensive information regarding the extent of the damage, casualties, or the broader consequences of the strikes. Many of the reports circulating remain under review and await independent verification. As the situation continues to develop, additional information and details regarding the scope and impact of the attacks are expected to emerge in the coming hours.
