The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, will make an official visit to China on Tuesday this week.
The ministry stated today (Saturday, 26th of Sawr) that this two-day trip is being made at the official invitation of Xi Jinping, the President of China.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Putin and Xi will discuss bilateral relations, ways to deepen comprehensive strategic partnership, strategic cooperation between Russia and China, and key regional issues.
The ministry added that the leaders of the two countries will also participate in the official opening ceremony of the Russia-China academic year for 2026-2027.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that after the talks, they will issue a joint statement at the highest level and sign several bilateral intergovernmental documents.
This visit comes about a week after U.S. President Donald Trump’s trip to China, during which he met and held talks with Xi Jinping, the President of China.
Trump discussed economic relations, Taiwan, and the Iran war with the Chinese President.
