Local sources say that three well-known figures in Afghan cricket Bilal Sami, Saleem Safi, and Zia-ur-Rahman survived a traffic accident while traveling to Khost Province.
According to the sources, they were on their way to Khost after attending the funeral of the late Shapoor Zadran, the former Afghanistan national cricket team’s fast bowler, when their vehicle was involved in a traffic accident in the Tera Kando area.
The sources added that no one was injured in the incident, and all three men are safe and in good health.
The Tera Kando route is known for its sharp bends and mountainous terrain and is regarded as one of the country’s most hazardous roads. Similar traffic accidents occur there from time to time.
