The first government-owned sports gymnasium in Kunduz Province has been officially inaugurated and put into operation in the presence of officials from the Department of Physical Education and Sports, coaches, athletes, and a number of young people.
Officials from the Kunduz Department of Physical Education and Sports stated that the gymnasium was constructed at a cost of 50 million Afghanis, funded through the budget of the General Directorate of the Olympic Committee, Physical Education, and Sports.
According to the officials, the sports complex has been built on a two-jerib plot of land and is intended to provide suitable facilities for training and hosting sporting competitions in the province.
