Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, has said in response to recent remarks by the interior ministers of Pakistan and Tajikistan that no foreign armed groups are present in Afghanistan.
In an interview with the Taliban-run National Radio, he emphasized that the entire country is under their control and that no foreign armed group or individual is allowed to violate their principles and regulations.
Mujahid added that claims regarding the presence of foreign armed groups in Afghanistan are “propaganda and misinformation,” and that the Taliban firmly reject them.
These remarks came after Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Tajikistan’s Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda expressed concern on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, stating that around 25 armed groups are allegedly operating in Afghanistan, posing a threat to regional security and stability.
The officials also warned about an increase in drug production; however, the Taliban have rejected these claims as well, describing them as baseless.
