The Punjab Police in Pakistan has announced that a total of 34,545 Afghan migrants have been deported from the province so far. Pakistani authorities have not provided any details regarding the timeframe for the implementation of these deportations.

According to the published statistics, among those deported, 13,389 are men, 6,963 are women, and 14,224 are children. It has also been reported that 203 individuals are still being held in camps.

The Punjab Police added that, among the deported individuals, 10,771 had residence documents, 11,131 held Afghan citizenship cards, and 12,643 were undocumented.

The head of Punjab Police stated that the security situation in the province is on high alert. He emphasized that the deportation of undocumented individuals will continue.

In recent months, Pakistan has been pursuing the deportation of Afghan migrants more rigorously. This process has intensified following border clashes between the Taliban and Pakistan.
