In the first semi-final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Spain’s national team defeated France 2–0 to secure a place in the tournament final.
The match was held at the Dallas Stadium in the state of Texas, United States. Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal scored the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, while Pedro Porro added the second goal in the 58th minute to seal his team’s victory.
With this win, Spain reached the World Cup final for the first time since 2010, while France were eliminated from the competition.
The second semi-final of the World Cup is scheduled to take place on Wednesday between Argentina and England. The winner will face Spain in the final. The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will be played on July 20.
