The Israeli army has announced that in the past 24 hours, it has targeted around 40 Hezbollah bases in southern Lebanon.
Al Jazeera reported on Friday, May 1, that the Israeli army claimed these bases were being used by Hezbollah forces.
Part of the Israeli army’s statement mentioned that sirens were activated in the northern part of the country due to the detection and interception of an unidentified aerial object.
Earlier, international media reported that in Hezbollah’s drone attacks on the “Shumra” area in northern Israel, 12 Israeli soldiers were injured.
This comes despite the ceasefire being in place, as tensions between Israel and Lebanon continue.
A spokesperson for the World Food Program also stated that security restrictions in various regions of Lebanon due to Israeli attacks have slowed the organization’s relief efforts and made it difficult for those in need to access humanitarian aid.
