The Taliban’s General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports has announced that a bodybuilding and fitness competition was held in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, with the participation of 95 athletes. At the conclusion of the event, 10 competitors were selected for Helmand’s bodybuilding and fitness representative team.
According to a statement issued by the directorate on Sunday (July 12), Ahmadullah Wasiq, head of the Taliban’s General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports, attended the competition along with his deputy.
At the end of the event, Aminullah was awarded the title of “Mr. Helmand”, while Ehsanullah earned the title of “Junior Helmand.” Ten athletes were also selected to join Helmand’s representative bodybuilding and fitness team.
