The Ministry of industry and commerce of the Taliban has stated that the acting minister of the ministry, Shahabuddin Saqib، met with resident Afghan traders during his visit to the city of Urumqi, China, and discussed their commercial problems and challenges.
According to the ministry,Saqib traveled to China leading an official delegation to participate in the China–Eurasia 2026 Exhibition. During this meeting, Afghan traders shared their issues and requests with him, and discussions were also held on expanding trade relations.
The Ministry of commerce stated that the purpose of this visit is to expand trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Afghanistan and China, and to create facilities for Afghan traders.
