The General Authority for Statistics of Saudi Arabia has announced that the number of participants in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage has exceeded 1.707 million people.
According to the authority, more than 1.546 million pilgrims from various countries around the world traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
Among these pilgrims are around 30,000 Afghan pilgrims who have arrived in Mecca and Medina to carry out the Hajj rituals.
Saudi officials stated that extensive measures have been taken to ensure pilgrims’ convenience, security, and healthcare services, and that all Hajj ceremonies are being conducted under special supervision.
