Tajudeen Oyewale, UNICEF’s representative in Afghanistan, has said that UNICEF has provided opportunities for young people in Kandahar to learn technical skills.
On Friday, May 29 (8 Jawza), Oyewale wrote on X that young people participating in the program are being trained in solar energy skills.
He added that the program is supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The UNICEF representative emphasized that support for young people in various fields should be provided based on labor market needs.
Oyewale stated that UNICEF supports training programs that build skills and open doors to income-generating opportunities.
Due to decades of war, instability, and insecurity, Afghanistan remains one of the poorest countries in the world, and statistics show that unemployment in the country remains extremely high.
