In Ghazni Province, the second three-day domestic product exhibition was inaugurated on Wednesday with an official ceremony. Local Taliban officials state that the objectives of this exhibition are to support domestic manufacturing, introduce industrial products, attract investment, and strengthen marketing efforts.
During the opening ceremony, Shahabuddin Saqib, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration for the Taliban's Ministry of Industry and Commerce, announced that 160,000 acres of land have been allocated nationwide for industrial development, and construction on an industrial park in Ghazni will commence shortly. He urged the public to support local industries by purchasing domestic products.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Ahmadi, the Taliban's Director of Industry and Commerce for Ghazni Province, noted that 120 large and small manufacturing factories are currently active in the province. However, due to the lack of a structured industrial park, these factories remain scattered across different areas of the city.
The media office of the Taliban governor for Ghazni Province also stated in a newsletter that Sardar Mohammad Madani, the Deputy Governor, has called on industrialists and traders to supply high-quality products to the market and to create employment opportunities for the public.
Concurrently, several exhibition participants highlighted the shortage of electricity, the absence of an organized industrial zone, and marketing difficulties as the most significant challenges facing their operations, urging the relevant authorities to address these issues.
