India’s Ministry of External Affairs has announced that it has sent 20 tons of BCG, tetanus, and diphtheria vaccines, along with related medical supplies, to Kabul in order to strengthen Afghanistan’s child immunization program.
The ministry wrote on X on Friday, the first day of Jawza, that the aid was provided to support Afghanistan’s healthcare sector and increase children’s immunization coverage.
According to Indian officials, the aid package also includes special dry materials used in the preparation of BCG, tetanus, and diphtheria vaccines, which are considered important for protecting children’s health and preventing infectious diseases.
