Moscow – The Secretary-General of the Russian Olympic Committee expressed appreciation for the participation of the Afghan sports delegation in the International Forum of Young Olympic Medalists and extended special recognition to Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Head of Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.
During a meeting held on the sidelines of the forum in Moscow, Viktor Brizov welcomed Afghanistan’s involvement in the international event and presented special gifts from the Russian Olympic Committee to Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq.
The International Forum of Young Olympic Medalists, hosted by Russia, began yesterday and will continue for two days. The organizers describe the primary objective of the event as supporting young athletes, encouraging emerging sports talent, and promoting fair competition at the international level.
Representatives from various countries are participating in the forum, engaging in discussions and exchanging views on strategies for sports development, support for young athletes, and the expansion of sporting cooperation among nations.
Participants have also emphasized the importance of strengthening sports relations and creating greater opportunities for the growth and advancement of young athletes in international arenas.
