Residents of Qarabagh district in Ghazni province have started the construction of a 31-kilometer road at their own expense. According to local sources, this road will connect Qarabagh district to the Kabul-Kandahar highway and is considered an important route for improving transportation access in the region.
According to information provided by local people, the cost of constructing this project is estimated at around 15 million Afghanis. The work has already begun using machinery, and the required budget is being provided through community donations and a local charity fund.
The residents emphasize that once this road is completed, transportation problems in the districts of Qarabagh, Jaghori, Malistan, and Ajristan will be significantly reduced. They also mentioned that some areas in the neighboring province of Urozgan will benefit from this road, and inter-provincial access will improve.
The local people have also requested the Taliban administration to cooperate and participate, especially in completing and paving the road. They stated that in the past four years, they have carried out dozens of public welfare projects at their own expense.
The residents believe that the execution of infrastructure projects by the people demonstrates the urgent need for more attention to development and infrastructure in remote areas, which remains one of the main challenges in many parts of the country.
