The construction of the 25-kilometer-long Panjshir-Takhar road, with a cost of over 451 million Afghanis, has officially begun. This project is contracted by the Ministry of Public Works with the private sector.
The inauguration ceremony of this project was held in the presence of Mohammad Agha Hakim, the Governor of Panjshir, the head of Public Works, and several local officials.
According to the provided information, this road will start from the Khawak Pass in the Paryan district of Panjshir province and will extend to the Warsaj district of Takhar province.
Officials have stated that during the implementation of this project, employment opportunities will be provided for some local residents.
Moreover, once completed, this road will reduce the distance between Kabul and the northeastern provinces of the country, and it can serve as an alternative route to the Salang Pass.
According to the officials, the execution of this project will not only ease the movement of people but will also play an effective role in the expansion of trade and economic activities.
